GOD, THE FATHER
The God spoken of is
the head of the triune God which is evidenced throughout scripture. He is the Yahweh of Judah, the Elohim of Genesis,
and the heavenly father of Jesus Christ. He is the supreme creator of the entire universe including all mankind and
every living creature below heaven on earth.
GOD, THE SON
Jesus Christ is the son of
God who was with God, the Father from the beginning of time as is evidenced in scripture. He was conceived by the Holy
Spirit, born of a young virgin Mary, and manifested his Sonship and authority on numerous occasions during His earthly ministry
all the while being in total obedience to the Father. His sole purpose on earth was to make provision for eternal salvation
of all mankind through his propitiatory and atoning death on the cross.
GOD,
THE HOLY SPIRIT
God's Holy Spirit completes the theology of the Holy Trinity. The obvious presence of the Holy Spirit is
manifest throughout scripture and His functions are numerous.
THE FAMILY
We believe the basic family
unit to be one man and one woman in holy matrimony as God purposed it in scripture.
SIN
Sin is basically rebellion
against God and falling short of His righteousness.
MAN
The original man, Adam [and
Eve] was created in God's own image and was His final crowning work of creation. However, as Adam was the progenitor
of all future generations, his fall from grace through his disobedience set the stage for all future mankind to be born into
a sinful state and consequently are lost and separated from a righteous God. The good news is that man is redeemed from
eternal damnation through his confession of his personal sins, his complete repentance, and his faith and acceptance in Jesus
Christ as his savior and His completed work on the cross.
HEAVEN
Heaven is a real place where
God resides and where Christ, after His ascension into heaven, sits at the Father's right hand. It is where all followers
of Christ will eventually reside.
HELL
Hell is a real place sometimes referred to by various other names but what God originally created solely for
the fallen angel, Lucifer, commonly known as Satan, along with all the other fallen angels we call demons. Those who
reject Christ as their savior are destined to follow Satan into the fiery pits of hell.
