Word Of Life Youth Camp to Begin in January
The Word Of Life (WOL) organization and one of CBC’s outreach partners will be hosting their annual summer camp for the children in Panama. The camp will begin on January 14th and will run 5 weeks. Please see the January 2013 Newsletter for more details. CBC is working with WOL to raise money for scholarships for those children that cannot cover the $60 cost for one week. CBC Members Distribute Food and Other Items to Flood Victims in Chorrera
CBC members and others spent the morning distributing food, clothing, and household items to those effected by the flooding. See some of the pictures of the river that is causing the issues. See the one picture of the cement pad. A house was there but it is totally gone. The place where they are cooking is a set up that is now providing meals for those in the area that are in need. Also, many people are sleeping in this cooking area because they don’t have anything or anywhere else to go. Many of the ones that we met and prayed with have lost everything. Come and Rest
God wants us to enter his rest. The Israelites of Moses’ time experienced a foretaste of this rest in the Promised Land. Even though Christians will experience everlasting life on a new earth in the future, they can enjoy this rest now by knowing God’s peace. We do not need to wait for the next life to enjoy God’s rest and peace; we may have it now!

Christmas Party for the Children in Filipina
CBC is partnering with Word Of Life to present a Christmas party for the children in the village of Filipina in the mountains up by Sora and Altos Del Maria. The event is scheduled for December 7th and will start at 9 a.m. Word Of Life along with several CBC members have been spending time up in Filipina spreading the Word of God to the people and children. More Than Hearing
The Israelites of Moses’ and Joshua’s day heard great messages from God, but they still did not respond in faith. Many people in our churches today reflect the same problem.
